We use FedEx Priority Overnight and ship to the FedEx pick-up location nearest to you. We ship every T-W for next day arrival and shipments usually come into the FedEx ship center between 9:00am - 10:30am. Under NO circumstances will we ever ship a chameleon to a home or business address as insurance will not cover these types of deliveries on live animals. It must be shipped to an agreed upon FedEx ship center to be held for pick up. In the event an animal is DOA, we require a time stamped photo of the animal within 3 hours of being delivered at the hold facility and proof of time it was picked up by the customer. This information is required by the insurance company so that we may file a claim. In the event it takes the customer longer than 3 hours to pick up the chameleon from the ship center the guaranteed live-arrival policy does not apply as insurance will not cover it. Please only schedule shipping on a day when the chameleon can be picked up promptly after arrival.
We will only ship when the weather is between 30 degrees Fahrenheit -90 degrees Fahrenheit, as shipping in extreme temperatures can be detrimental to the animal's health. In addition, we do not ship during holidays or to specific regions during times of natural disasters such as fires, hurricanes, snowstorms, etc. We want to get your baby to you as quickly as possible, however we are not willing to risk the animals' health, safety or well-being in order to do so and will hold your chameleon and take excellent care of it until it is safe to send.
When placing your order, please use the correct name that is on your driver's license or the license of the person who will be picking up the chameleon. If the name on the shipping label does not match the name on the license Fed Ex will not release the package to the individual. Cancellations
Cancellations on Orders
We allow a 48-hour grace period to cancel an order. After this grace period we require a $75 re-stocking fee. We offer store credit for all cancelled orders that never expires and can be applied with no restrictions to anything available on the site. Simply contact us when you are ready to use your credit and we will issue you a code to apply the credit to the animal of your choice at checkout.
Sex Guarantee
We 100% guarantee the sex of the baby that you order. If for some reason an error is made on our part and you are sent the wrong baby, we will happily exchange it and cover the cost of shipping of both animals.
Locale Guarantee
We 100% guarantee the locale of your panther chameleon. We obtained our breeder chameleons from excellent sources and have very clear and detailed lineage on each one to ensure that they are pure and true to the locale they are labeled as on our website. What we cannot guarantee, however is specific coloration within each locale. By looking at the parents' pictures, we can get a good idea of what the offspring may look like. But chameleons are a bag of skittles! Even the same chameleon is capable of displaying a vast array of colors depending on temperature, environment, mood and diet. For this reason, we do not guarantee specific color within a locale but will work very hard and give it our best educated guess to try to get you the specific look you desire.
Health Guarantee
We have a 3-day health guarantee beginning the day your chameleon arrives. We must be notified of any health problem or concern, within this time period in order to maintain your warranty. We ensure our chameleons are in optimal health and fully established and thriving before leaving the Cloud! But we also know that sometimes injury can occur due to the shipping process. Our chameleons are not guaranteed against health issues resulting from late pick up from the Fed Ex hold facility (chameleons must be picked up and transferred to a proper enclosure within 2 hours of delivery to the hub), improper husbandry practices, accidental death as a result of improper care, such as being dropped, eaten by the family cat, etc. In the event the chameleon is injured due to the shipping process or becomes sick during this grace period (from the time period that the chameleon leaves our facility until the time in which they are delivered to the hub and 2 hours thereafter), you will be issued a full store credit and we will cover the cost of shipping to send you a new one of your choice.
Returns
Returns on live animals, as with most independent pet breeders, once you receive your animal, we are unable accept returns or issue refunds. The only exception where we will issue a refund is if injury or death as a result of shipping has occurred, in which case we will issue a store credit for the total amount you paid for the animal. We require proof of injury or death with a time stamped video of the unboxing of the chameleon taken within 1 hour of when the animal was delivered to its final destination. Please understand that in asking us to ship the animal to you, you are assuming the risk and responsibility that come with having an animal shipped. If you are unable to assume this responsibility, it would be best to purchase the animal from a local source.
Abandoned Orders
Once a baby is ready to come home and an invoice for final payment is sent and shipping date scheduled, payment MUST be received in full prior to the animal being shipped out. If payment is not received prior to the shipping date scheduled and we do not hear from the customer within 1 week from the shipping date we assume that the order has been abandoned and the animal again becomes the property of Cloud 9 Chameleons. It is the customer's responsibility to contact us prior to the shipping date if payment cannot be made to discuss an alternate payment plan and reschedule a shipping date. No refunds will be issued in cases in which payment has not been received and no contact has been made.
Right of refusal to sell
We retain the right to refuse sale of our chameleons to anyone at any time if we have evidence that the chameleon’s health or safety could be at risk in any way. If a deposit or payment has already been placed on the chameleon, we will issue a full refund. First, most these animals are our pets who we love dearly. We will never jeopardize the health and well-being of any of our chameleons.
